The
Leadership in Health and Safety Multimedia Training program uses
interactive multimedia technology and is delivered on CD-ROM. The
multimedia program combines colour graphics, still pictures, animation,
and motion video with the interactivity, versatility and responsiveness of
the computer. It also includes narration, dialogue, music, and sound
effects.

Progress
checks and interactions allow learners to practice, implement, apply, and
synthesize what has been taught. Interactions and test questions provide
remediation based on the results of learner choices.

In
collaboration with literacy experts, we included techniques in the
training to assist workers with low literacy and limited language skills
to enable them to access the health and safety content.

Learner
progress and scores are tracked using Christie Administrator to ensure due
diligence regarding the health and safety training, as well as to alert
mentors when assistance is required. The program also includes support
materials for installation, mentoring, and literacy.
